Line of Duty Announced for 7th Season on the British Broadcaster
The acclaimed crime series AC-12 will make a comeback for its 7th installment, confirmed by the BBC.
A brand new six-part series written by the show's creator will begin filming in Belfast this spring, according to the production team.
The actress shared her enthusiasm about the return, saying she was "so excited" about the series' return. Adrian Dunbar remarked, "What a joy it is to know that the Three Amigos will be reuniting together next year."
The previous series wrapped up in recent years with a finale that attracted more than 17 million audience members. Rumors about a new season have been widespread for some time, but confirmation only came this week.
New Challenges for AC-12
Series seven begins with AC-12 no longer existing and rebranded as the new police oversight body, as revealed by the announcement.

The team's mission "faces unprecedented challenges", and in this climate, the trio will take on their "most sensitive case so far."
Fresh Face and Intricate Plot
An additional officer, DI Dominic Gough, described as a charismatic officer celebrated for takedowns of organized crime, is accused of misusing his authority to become a sexual predator.
However, this investigation might serve as a deliberate distraction from a bigger threat still active in the background, plot details suggested.
In a statement, Jed Mercurio said: "All cast and crew feels enormous gratitude to the show's fans."
"It's an honor to have had countless fans track the developments of AC-12 over six previous seasons and we are thrilled to be returning for a new season."
Mercurio continued: "Corruption in this country was thought to be over while Line of Duty was off air, so I've been forced to use my creativity."
